Answers to the questions we're most often asked.
Everything on the discipline, the consultations, the logistics and the scope of the practice.
What is Feng Shui?↓
Feng Shui is a formal Chinese discipline that studies how a building's orientation, layout and surroundings interact with the people who live or work in it. It is calculation-led, not decoration-led, and has almost nothing to do with pop-culture 'Feng Shui symbols'.
How is this different from popular Feng Shui?↓
Popular Feng Shui often reduces the discipline to symbols, coins, statues, wind chimes. Feng Shui uses compass directions, Flying Star charts, Xuan Kong formulas and BaZi. It is closer to architectural planning than to interior decoration.
Is Feng Shui a religion?↓
No. Feng Shui is a study of environments and time. It does not require any belief system.
What is BaZi?↓
BaZi ('Four Pillars of Destiny') is the traditional Chinese system for understanding a person's chart based on their exact date, time and place of birth. It is used to understand strengths, timing and patterns, not to predict a fixed future.
How is BaZi different from Vedic astrology?↓
Both are systems for understanding a person's life, but BaZi uses the Chinese solar calendar and the Five Elements. They can be used alongside each other; here, only BaZi is offered.
Is this compatible with Vastu?↓
Feng Shui and Vastu are separate disciplines with different origins. Where a client already follows Vastu, Feng Shui recommendations are given in a way that respects existing commitments.
